What a World...

This world is a mockery…

It has turned into the opposite of the positive.

We scorn the good and hail the bad.

We close our eyes to what just lays beneath the sun

yet we never find any fault with the horrendous in the dark.

We always want the sweetener and we spit bitter to get it.

Is it that we are possibly induced by anything,

anything thats worth nothing?

We look at the innocent with one eye

yet embrace the guilty without even flinching.

Is it that our conscience is also being meddled with

or ignoring your guts is as easy as counting to 10

i speak the truth and they call me crazy 

and then ignore me…smh

insanely sane, i call it.

This world is a Charade…

People masquerading as friends

when deep within they never come close as what they are being branded.

Is it not our nature to help one another?

God made us to be each others keeper,

but they go into hiding when they see you coming

Like you are the ghost haunting their lives.

They slam the door in your face like you never exist.

Rewind this ridiculous tape of life.

Pause! 

Now play that…

You said you were going to be there when i needed help

promises….

empty promises

a huge vacuum in their words.

This world is worth everything, 

everything that it coughs up our way

but its all on us...

don't just think somebody should live your life for you

don't just think life is only for the lucky and fortunate

don't just waste it waiting for a miracle

because we could be each other's miracle

and appreciate whatever you have.
